Our Core Curriculum
We believe that children learn best by doing, touching, experimenting, choosing, talking and negotiating. Our programme offers an integrated thematic approach that is presented in planned fun and creative activities and allows for discovery learning.
The thematic unit approach uses the concept of a ｀unit' for each week. It has a framework that captures children's natural curiosity and interests while promoting social, emotional, language, reading, maths, science, art and imaginative play skills.
Research shows that success in school is determined by attitudes toward learning, study habits and skills developed at an early age. In our programme, children learn to solve problems, become independent, responsible and cooperative and develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in school.
#For your convenience, parents have two options of:
a) a half-day programme
b) a full-day programme
Half-day Programme
8.15am - 12.30pm
Monday - Friday
Except school holidays & public holidays
WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING :-
-Mikids e-teaching and learning (English, Science, Moral & Maths)
-Mandarin Advance Literacy
-Art and Craft
-Creative Music and Movement
-Computer lessons
-Morning Exercises
-Story and Library time
-Remedial classes with no charge (For students who need extra coaching only)
Full-day Programme
8.15am - 6.00pm
Monday - Friday
Except school holidays & public holidays
WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:-
-Kindergarten programme (8.15am to 12.30pm)
-Schoolwork guidance
-Meals, Bath & Quiet time
-Enrichment classes
-Holiday workshops (one week In June & November)
-Culinary Sessions
Facilities
-Fully air-conditioned classrooms : All classrooms are fully air-conditioned, providing a cool and clean environment.
-Multimedia Room : We use this room mainly for our e-teaching lessons. Children enjoy the pictures and animation on the big screen.
-Mini Theatre : Small performances are held here. Children are encouraged to join in the activities like, singing, story telling, public speaking, spelling bees and dramas planned by the school.
-Canteen : We are proud of our canteen which is clean and sanitary. We dish out many delicious food especially prepared for the children. We have more that 20 items of food and we rotate these every month.
-Playground & Spacious Activity Area : We have big unobstructed spaces for children to run, play & learn. Children are encouraged to participate in the physical activities for healthy body & safety habits.
Holiday workshops
It is an on-going activity for more than ten years and children learn to mix around outside the classroom. Lots of games and fun, lots of hands on activities and culinary skills, lots of research and knowledge to be gained simply for the fun of it.
